A lisp alone would not account for “rich” becoming “witch.”
For those who don’t get the first panel, “Expelliarmus” is a disarming spell in the Harry Potter series.
Depends on the extent of the lisp: not all lisps are the classic ‘s’ becomes a ‘th’, with some the ‘r’ becomes a ‘w’
Personally have trouble with ‘r’s (even after a year of speech therapy and having to repeat “Round the ragged rock, the rugged rascal ran!”) and can not properly pronounce the word ‘one’ or ‘rung’ (hate those 2 words more than any other)
“Hewwo. I have a vewy sewious affwiction called ‘Elmew Fudd’s Disease’. Fwo youw genewous contrwibutions, I too can wearn to wead a nowmal wife.”
Robin Williams, I think.
In the wizard’s defense: Why does a villain who can’t say ‘S’ or ‘R’ name himself the Silver Serpent?
hmmm… probably the snake sssssss. thing.
Irony? Or maybe someone else came up with the name and they couldn’t get it changed
I wonder if the Doctor’s friends call him Arti?
HA! YOU MADE MY DAY! I’ve been sitting here wondering if anybody caught that!
Actually, I got it the first time
