Drinking age

Last Sunday marked the 21st anniversary of my posting my first comic strip on the Web. I've been posting my work — strips, panels, full pages, illustrations and more consistently since that day. My first strip, Greystone Inn, ran every day from 2000 to mid-2005. Evil Inc launched the week after Greystone ended, and it ran Monday-through-Saturday until I rebooted the strip as a graphic novel in 2016. After that, I began posting the comic in full pages — the top on Tuesday and the bottom on Thursday. Here's how it all started...

Now you see why I always say that it's hard to get worse at something you do every day.

In the lobby of Evil Inc, a pirate is launching a livestream on his smartphone. Count Spurlock runs beind him.

Pirate: When he said he was "green-friendly"... I didn't know he meant his complexion!

Spurlock: Hey! STOP! is this LIVE?!

The pirate frames both of them on the smartphone's camera: Dude... LOOK at you! I'm WAY outta your league.

Flashback interrupts from the reception desk: Excuse me, do you need your parking validated?

Flashback gets up and squares off against the pirate: ... or just your daddy issues?

Flashback turns to Count Spurlock: And YOU! It's not gonna WORK, you know. — Your little plan to make me jealous.

Flashback (continues): Spurlock, you were the best I ever had... and I won't rest until you're mine again.

As Lightning Lady, Miss Match, and the pirate look on, Flashback takes Spurlock into his arms and leans him back for a deep, passionate kiss.
