In the video, I draw a cartoon about Christmas trees being naughty pines. In the audio, ComicLab co-host Dave Kellett remarks on my research into drivers' etiquette:

Your first impulse is to give them the middle finger. It actually hurts their feelings a lot more if you just give them a thumbs down.

KELLETT
Is there something psychologically that's more upsetting about getting a thumbs down?

GUIGAR
Because a middle finger is aggressive and it makes you the bad guy. The thumbs down is like you've passed judgment on this person and they just haven't measured up and it's a thumbs down.

And so I said, I've been using the wrong finger all this time.

I am absolutely delighted by this response and I'll tell you why because Brad Guigar who I know is one of the most sweet and delightful and genteel laughers in life you get him behind the wheel and it's like Jekyll and Hyde right he's such an angry driver and the fact that Brad, on his own casual side reading time, is doing research on new and better ways to insult other drivers is killing me. Like, Brad's like, oh, I'm going to note that down.
