How to do a Kickstarter Add-on

Many of you have written about getting combinations of rewards that aren’t available on the campaign — for example, an nsfw Artist Edition Evil Inc After Dark plus a regular Courting Disaster Uncensored.

So I’ve signed up with Backerkit, and I’m going to offer many of the rewards from this Kickstarter on an a la carte basis after the campaign closes.

If you’d like to help us towards our Stretch Goal, you can  increase your pledge now and apply the extra funds to your order after the campaign is over.

Just go to the Kickstarter page, click Manage My Pledge, and increase the dollar amount. But don’t change your reward tier! This is especially important if you have a reward that is now closed-out — like the Early Bird Special!

Remember… you can change that pledge right up until the end of the Kickstarter campaign.

Step by step

To see any graphic larger, just click it.

Let’s say I want to change my pledge to a Kickstarter campaign I’m supporting. All I have to do is click on Manage Your Pledge.

Easy, right?

Now, click Change Your Pledge…

Presto!

You’ll see something like this on your screen.

In the example above, I’ve pledged a total of $40. If I want to increase the pledge by $10, I can enter the new total ($50) under Pledge Amount.

Keep in mind, the add-on numbers apply only to the merchandise — not to shipping. If you add on a large number of physical books, it may increase your shipping charge. But that amount will be added by Backerkit when it’s time to process your shipment.

Next, hit Continue…

Here’s where I confirm my changes. Note: Double-check to make sure you didn’t change your Reward! The only changes should be under Pledge Amount and Total. If that’s the case, you can click Confirm to lock in your new pledge.

Of course, you can change that pledge as often as you’d like, right up until the campaign ends.

Backerkit
