Biography
Brad Guigar is one of the longest-running webcartoonists in the world, having published comics on the Web since February 2000. His current ongoing comics are Evil Inc and its nsfw companion Evil Inc After Dark. He has published over two dozen collections of his comics, and he is the author of three books on the subject of cartooning: “The Everything Cartooning Book,” “How To Make Webcomics,” and “The Webcomics Handbook.” He operates a tutorial-and-advice site, Webcomics.com, and he teaches Arts Entrepreneurship, Sequential Art, and Storytelling at both Hussian School of Art and The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He records a weekly podcast with fellow cartoonist Dave Kellett called ComicLab which can be found wherever you get your podcasts.

Brad Guigar won the 2023 ’Ringo Award for Best Humor Webcomic. He has also been nominated for the highest honor in comics—the Eisner award—for “Phables,” a year-and-a-half-long weekly comic series about life in Philadelphia. The National Cartoonist Society has nominated him for a Silver Reuben award for Best Online Longform Comic for the past two years in a row.
Author
Guigar is the author of “The Everything Cartooning Book” and the co-author of “How To Make Webcomics.” His book, “The Webcomics Handbook,” offers tips and advice to people who want to make a living doing comics.
He is the editor-in-chief of the daily tutorial and advice site Webcomics.com, and he co-hosts a weekly podcast about comics on the Web called ComicLab.
Brad lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Caroline, and two sons.
