Panel 1

(Caption: "The next morning…")
Cassie Cruz: Close the door behind you, Jeremy…

Panel 2

Cassie Cruz: For the past few weeks, it seems as if the superheroes have been using inside information to thwart our clients.

Panel 3

Jeremy: I’ve heard. We may have a mole.

Panel 4

Cassie Cruz: The employees think it’s me!
And they’re mad as hell!

Panel 5

Jeremy: That’s ridiculous.
This very morning, Desi wanted to bring you a hot cup of coffee as soon as you got to the office!
She even asked how you take it.

Panel 6

Jeremy: Did she make it strong enough?

Panel 7
Cassie Cruz:  I dunno… Let’s ask it.

(Cassie lifts an overturned bucket on her desk, revealing a coffee cup where the coffee has turned into a monstrous creature, growling and snapping.)

(Sound effects: "RAWR", "ARGH", "SMASH", "SNAP")

January Previews

January Previews

I have some tremendous news to pass along, and I’m calling on all you thugs, goons, minions, and henchmen — er, henchpersons — to get involved in this and help make it a huge success.

Diamond Distributing is going to begin carrying my books in 2007.

Evil Inc Annual Report, vol 1 is going to be the first offering, appearing in the January issue of Previews, which hits comic shops and bookstores this Friday, Dec. 22.

It’s right there on page 281, item code: JAN073651.

Here’s the thing. Getting into Previews is one thing, but now I need retailers to know what it is and where it is. Most importantly, though, they need to know that there’s a demand for it. I need a strong showing here so Diamond continues to carry my books throughout the year.

Standby for post-hypnotic suggestion. Why don’t you pass the time with a game of solitaire?

You will go to your comic shop or bookstore.
You will ask for Evil Inc Annual Report, vol 1 by name.
You will point it out on Page 281 in January Previews.
You will request it.
Clamor for it.
Beg for it.
You will not feel complete until you see it shining on the shelf of your local comic shop.

Thank you. You’re the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I’ve ever known in my life.
