Panel 1: Cassie is at a coffee shop when her assistant, Jeremy texts her.
Jeremy (text): We need to talk about your office redesign.
Cassie (text): What redesign?
Panel 2:
Jeremy (text): …specifically, the carpet
Cassie (text): WHAT carpet??
Panel 3:
Jeremy (text): When you get back to the office, you’ll see…
Cassie (text): On my way.
Panel 4: Cassie stands in shock at the entrance to her office. All of her furniture has sunk several feet into the carpet. Jeremy is in the middle of the room, sunk to his neck.
Cassie: What the hell?!?
Jeremy: Please hurry… Getting shagged to death is less fun than it sounds.
As we head into Thanksgiving next week, here’s a chance to look back into the archives and see one of my favorite storylines from “Greystone Inn.”
This storyline was an opportunity to hit all of the things I love about Film Noir classics like “The Maltese Falcon.” Sam Snood is still a highlight for me. I hope you enjoy it, too.
Looking back on this strips, I almost get nostalgic for Argus and the gang.
